Charlie Brown Christmas

Well, the holiday season is in full swing and, as usual, never enough time in a day. We have lots of fire dept activities going on, canned food drive, bingo fund raiser, delivering food baskets and gifts, tonight is my EMT final exam for this term, yahoo! Will be a relief to have that behind me. The fall has just flown by. I hope you are all enjoying the wonder of this wonderful season. I got to watch one of my favorites on TV last night - A Charlie Brown Christmas. No matter that I own the video, I still have to watch it on TV every year.

Hi people! I know it's almost Thanksgiving, but I wanted to show a picutre of a bracelet I sent to a swap partner in October. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

Thanksgiving on the way and Christmas

I think these turkey placecards from Blumchen are just too cute! I am hoping to spend Thanksgiving in Washington with my youngest brother, his wife and their 6 daughters, and 1 son! What are your Thanksgiving plans? I am also getting my Christmas gift giving list together. Fortunately my hubby is willing to help with Christmas gifts as I won't be able to do it all myself this year. I think homemade gifts are just the best thing ever!

Nasty people, Wizard of Oz party, etc.!

So, this is pretty much how I looked yesterday! I opened my bank statement Tuesday night after class and found 8 fraudulent debits from my account, for a total of $500! I spent half of yesterday trying to get the mess straightened out. I don't know how these people live with themselves. So, cancel VISA/debit card, fill out about 20 forms, sign, sign, sign forms! Not to mention the inconvenience of not having the VISA/debit card until the new one arrives in 10-14 days! No Etsy or other online shopping. I may go into withdrawal!
Other than that, I am getting treatments for my neck, 6-8 weeks minimum, have had 1 so far. I hope and pray this helps. Trying to finish up swaps. I apologize from the bottom of my heart to my poor swap partners. I am not always this slow!
I hope you are all enjoying this wonderful fall season. I will be posting pix from the annual Wizard of Oz party that my youngest bro, his wife and 6 daughters, 1 son have for my birthday every year. It was last Friday, and was just a blast! Happy Halloween!

Ouch

This will be short...I have managed to tweak my neck/back. This happens 2-3 times a year, mostly due to too much time at the pampootah (niece's word for computer). But I have really outdone myself this time and I am miserable. I am behind on everything, so my apologies to swap partners. Your goodies will be on their way SOON! So visits to chiropractor, massage therapist, and trying a new technique (Bowen technique) Friday. Wish me luck. It has been nearly 2 weeks now and no end in sight!

Family Reunion

Good morning! I am still trying to get the hang of this. I cannot figure out how to get this picture bigger, or how to get pix in with my posts instead of above them all or below them all! But, here is a picture from our annual Graves family reunion. My dad, youngest bro Tracy, his wife Kelsie, and their 7 children, my hubby Kevin, and me. If I haven't mentioned it, I am auntie to 23 nieces and nephews. Having no children of my own, I am the auntie who gets to spoil them all. Trac and Kels have Sydnee, Trestyn, Jaysi, Kia, Teyah, Hallie and in June Trey (aka Huck) joined the family. That is going to be one spoiled little boy! Happy Saturday to all! Tan P.S. thank you to Sharon at My Vintage Studio for tips on posting the picture!

September

Good morning! Summer seems to be definitely on its way out around here. We had frost on September first. I am not quite ready for that! I actually got a couple of quilt pictures posted today. Yahoo!

Fires and frustration

So, I tried to load a couple pictures of quilts, but I have no clue where they ended up?! If nothing else, my blog can be a good source of comic relief!

Where we live, it is wild fire season. Today we had nasty thunderstorms which, of course, means lightning strikes and more fires. At 3:15 p.m. today my hubby got a call from his employer and they were shipping him and two other guys out to run CATs, etc. on one of the larger fires near us. This sounds exciting to me, a new adventure! I am not sure he was quite as excited, ha! The storms also caused me to lose my internet connection 5 times so far today, so getting my work done by my 5 p.m. deadline was impossible!

I am working on several swaps that I have joined and I am so excited about them. Anxious to enter this new fun part of the art world!

I best get back to my transcription! Happy evening! Pictures soon, I promise! Tan

Blog Banner!

Don't you think my new blog banner is just enchanting?! Thank you to Annette of Huckleberry Arts. She is too, too, too talented! Things are moving along slowly here - it only took (off and on) a couple of hours for me to figure out how to get it loaded on my blog correctly! Now if I can just figure out how to get some pictures and a few other things on here, I will be really, really happy! Annette, thank you, again, for the lovely design!
